Netflix, the video streaming service, was back up on Thursday in the US after a brief interruption,

This is based on reports of outages on Downdetector.com.

According to Downdetector, which compiles status updates from several sources, there were more than 2,000 occurrences of Netflix problems at its peak.

The platform continues to be a leading streaming service with more than 200 million paid subscribers worldwide.

There is no outage indicated on the services’ official server status page. However, the video streaming service has not yet issued an official statement on the subject.

In the meantime, Netflix last month finally provided information on how it intends to prevent users from sharing their family plan passwords, an action that is against its terms of service and reduces the company’s overall revenue.

Only accounts belonging to one household will be able to be shared, according to a Help Center update from the streaming service. Netflix will request customers to connect to the Wi-Fi once every 31 days in order to make sure that devices are affiliated with the principal location.
