Twitter users on Monday reported that the platform seems to be blocking links to rival app, Threads website in Twitter searches.
Some users on the microblogging platform have also noticed the restriction earlier than others.
It’s uncertain when the block began.
However, this isn’t the first time Elon Musk’s Twitter will be blocking links to a competitor’s website.
The newsletter platform Substack was blocked after it launched its discussions feature called Substack Notes.
Twitter started by blocking links to posts, making it impossible to reply, and retweet.
Since the launch of Threads last week, the app has been on the rising amassing 100M users in less than a week, while Twitter’s traffic has been on the decline.
