The Nigerian Communications Commission is returning to television with a newly packaged 30-minute weekly television show.

According to Daily Post, the television show will regularly x-ray the Nigerian telecommunications and information communications technology industry and provide awareness for telecommunication consumers across the country and beyond.

According to the Commission, on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 5:00 pm, the weekly program, appropriately titled Telecom Weekly, will make its premiere on NTA Network Services, which consists of more than 45 stations across the 36 States and Abuja. Every Tuesday at 5:00 PM, all nearby NTA stations are scheduled to connect to the program.

It states that all local FRCN stations are expected to connect during the weekly program, which will air on radio every Thursday at 8 p.m. on the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Network for simultaneous transmission to all States of the Federation.

According to a statement by the Commission’s Spokesman, Reuben Morka, the show is anticipated to increase the Commission’s voice on radio and television in an effort to give stakeholders timely information about developments and concerns in the telecoms business.

It went on to say that one of the program’s primary goals will be to continuously raise awareness among various stakeholders about the activities and programs of the Commission as it strives to achieve regulatory excellence, in addition to making issues related to telecommunications services simpler for the average consumer.

According to NCC, the program will be spiced up with user experiences obtained through consumer-related events and vox pop in order to give a cross-section of telecom service users the opportunity to learn from and adapt such experiences to the use of their services.

It further stated that in order to aid in the process of raising knowledge about the business, expert perspectives will also be prominently featured. Additionally, the program will often include quiz shows where viewers and listeners can win prizes.
