Snapchat+ hits 4m paid subscribers

The social media giant Snap announced on Thursday that 4 million people had subscribed to its premium service, Snapchat+, since its introduction in June of last year.

Costing $3.99 a month, Snapchat+ gives customers access to premium and early-access features like “a collection of exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features” through Snapchat+, the company’s premium membership service. It includes a number of benefits, such as the ability to designate a buddy as a BFF, a special badge, a count of tale rewatches, and more.

According to Snapchat, premium customers were the first to see new features like Snapchat for the Web and it’s My AI chatbot, which uses artificial intelligence.

My AI, developed on ChatGPT by company OpenAI, can assist users with everything from producing poetry to finding facts. In a chat between friends on Snapchat, the chatbot can be used to answer queries.
