Microsoft raises Bing AI chat limit to 200 daily

Microsoft increases Bing Chat character limit to 4,000

Software giant, Microsoft launched Bing AI to give the users of its browsers a better experience, however, Microsoft discovered that long chat sessions confused the model, so the company reduced the chat limit.

Since then, the tech titan has worked to gradually increase its chat limit, and the highest limit yet is now available.

Bing Chat users noticed last week that their chat and session limits had been increased to 20 chats per session and 200 total chats per day.

Michael Schechter, Microsoft’s vice president of growth and distribution, confirmed via Twitter that the company was testing the increase over the weekend to see how it went.

Microsoft initially limited the chatbot to five chat turns per session and 50 per day.

It was quickly increased to the most recent limit of six chat turns per session and 60 total chats per day. It was then doubled to 10/120, and then 15/150.

The increased chat limit is a step in the right direction. Normal Bing searches should continue to be excluded from your chat totals, providing you with more bandwidth to hold a meaningful, productive conversation with the chatbot.

Microsoft previously stated that it was not tested for long, convoluted chat sessions internally, so the public’s use and feedback have been beneficial in learning more about the chatbot.
