Microsoft launches sign language feature for hearing-impaired users

Microsoft has released the first sign language view feature that enables hearing-impaired users to take part in team meetings.

During meetings, the deaf and their interpreters can sort and prioritize each other using Microsoft Teams’ sign language view function. Microsoft Teams video feeds will continue to be shown in uniform squares of varying sizes that are big enough to make any sign language visible from a distance. Throughout a meeting, users can see other signers concurrently, and video will maintain its aspect ratio even when being shared on a screen.

The functionality, according to Microsoft, offers preferences on the new accessibility settings pane.

The accessibility pane and sign language view for Microsoft Teams are presently available
for public preview on a user-by-user basis while the capability will be made available to everyone in the upcoming weeks.55 and it
