Google to launch seamless eSIM profile transfer on Android

Google has announced that it will discontinue Chrome support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 computer versions, according to a Google support page.

The final version of Google Chrome to support Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1, is version 109.

Google also stated that in order to keep using the built-in web browser, users must have Windows 10 or Windows 11.

With the release of Google Chrome 110, scheduled for February 7, 2023, Google declared that support for Chrome would end.

In the Google support page, the company said, “Older versions of Chrome will continue to work, but there will be no further updates released for users on these operating systems.”

Along with Google, tech giant Microsoft also intends to discontinue support for Windows 8.1 and the Windows 7 ESU (Extended Security Update) on January 10, 2023. Users with Windows 8.1-running machines can continue utilize the service, but the company will no longer provide technical support for it. Microsoft added that although Windows 8.1 customers won’t get any ESUs, they will be able to upgrade to a newer OS.
